Balancing
Life is getting pretty crazy at the moment.  School quarter is almost over, marathon is almost here, and Biochem midterm is Friday.  I have really been focusing on the marathon and letting college slip a little, but no more.  I have been studying Biochem for 3 days straight now, and I hope it pays off. 7.21 mile run today in 60min.   It was kind of fast but fun. 15 runs til the LA marathon.

Rainy day
So tonight I did a nice easy 10k (6.2miles) in 52min.  I was happy to get a better schedule going, running right after class.  The only downside, it poured for 5.4 of the miles I ran.  Though after about mile 3 my hair, both shirts, and socks had reached full saturation level.  17 more runs until LA!

Unexpected Turn of Events
Yesterday I found out that my girlfriend and running partner would no longer be able to race the LA Marathon with me.  Not only that, she is not allowed to run any considerable distances, doctor’s orders.  It made me sad to hear this, but I have become even more determined to train the best I can.  I plan to run harder, longer, and better, since I feel I am running for two.

Little upset with myself
I wanted to apply for this MSRIP for this coming summer.  Looking at the application, I read “All documents must be postmarked by February 17, 2012”.  Upon scrolling down to the part needed for my letters of recommendation it reads “The recommender should return the completed form to the UC Riverside Graduate Division by February 10, 2012” which of course is tomorrow....

Run run as fast as you can.
Life is catching up to me, and I can’t out run it this time.  Work, training, and school is not too much to handle most days.  But I hate when I sit and think about it.  For the last 4 years I have gone to school Monday-Friday, and worked Saturday-Sunday.  For a while I worked Wednesday, Friday-Sunday, then cut it down to Friday-Sunday. It is tiring at times to never get a break.  The breaks...

Roommate Chronicles Part 1: The Dudes' Abode
This is my first year living away from home.  It is my third year in college, but I live 30miles from campus.  It is a lot cheaper for me to commute but not necessarily easier.  So as with every new episode in one’s life comes new experiences and problems.  This is going to be just a way to see what is happening in my apartment as I deal with the transition from home living to sharing an...

Classes
The problem with upper-division classes is they have no flexibility in the schedule.  When that happens, you can’t take the classes you need and you have to rework your entire 4 year plan so you can still graduate on time.  Woohoo…

Double Day
Had an easy run this morning at the crack of dawn, only 30min.  Then went to the gym with the girlfriend and did a chest workout.  Just got back from round two at the gym, worked on the back.  I wish I could do double days at the gym everyday. Here’s to hoping I will be sore tomorrow!

I love the feeling
when you finish lifting and your arms/back/chest/etc, feels like a heater.
